Area Description

Battersea is located in South West London, just south of the River Thames. Part of the significant
postcode SW11, close to Putney and Clapham.
Battersea is a largely residential inner-city district of South London in the London Borough of
Wandsworth. The area is full of diversity and filled with enjoyable amenities and natural resources. It
has Battersea Park, one of South West London's major parks, located on the south side of the River
Battersea is extremely popular due to the close proximity to Central London and the excellent
nightlife options available. There are many amenities and entertainment to offer, Battersea Square
is a lively area for drinking and eating providing an excellent social experience.
Battersea has great transport links in and around the city with great services in the southern line.
Clapham Junction has trains to locations both within and outside London, including Brighton and
other south coast destinations. The Southern services take just ten minutes to Waterloo or seven
minutes to Victoria. The Overground network provides links across West London, South London,
Docklands, East London and Highbury and Islington. Trains from Battersea Park reach Victoria in five
minutes and Queenstown Road trains get to Waterloo in seven minutes.
